Trip to Chico

So Kristen's Spring Break was a couple of weeks ago, and she and Emily drove to Chico while I was working for a couple of days.  Once I was done with my trip, I made my way to Sacramento (originally planned on going to Chico through San Francisco, but that flight was delayed and I wouldn't have made it to Chico until 11:30pm

- too late for dinner at Grandma & Grandpa Humpherys' house) and Kristen picked me up at the airport.  We headed back to Chico and had dinner with all the Ogden clan
there.  The next day, Kristen and I went running in the park with Brody (who was on his 4th or 5th trip to Chico!) and then went and got lunch for those who were actually in the midst of tax season craziness - it makes me tired just thinking about all that stress and the long hours.  We're grateful they let us crash their house during such a busy time!  That evening, Teri went with Kristen and Emily and I to see the Chico Theater Company's presentation of The Wizard of Oz.  They did a great job - especially the Scarecrow, the Lion and the Wicked Witch of the West.  The next morning we left for the drive back to Utah.  It was amazingly cold for this time of year, and Kristen says that she's never seen them require snow tires or chains so low in the pass before.  We had lots of fun playing the alphabet game through Nevada - maybe a little sarcasm... There aren't a lot of signs (or vehicles) on I-80 west of Salt Lake.  Emily thoroughly trounced us both!  In my defense, I was driving at the time and felt like there were more important things to look at :)  We had a great time and hope we didn't inconvenience the Ogdens too much while we were there.  Next time we promise to time it a little better - maybe after tax season!  Look forward to the next installment next weekend - I'll be updating the lawn-leveling project, and maybe Kristen can report on the joys of camping while 6+ months pregnant!
